Bishop's Castle By-Election - our candidate Judith Payne

The South Shropshire Branch of the Ludlow Constituency Labour Party has selected Judith Payne of Bishop's Castle to be our candidate for the by-election on September 15th for Shropshire Councillor.

Judith has lived in Bishops Castle for over 30 years.  She has taught in both Bishops Castle schools, and in other schools round about. She has been a driver for Dial-a-Ride bus, a Trustee of the Friends of the Bishop’s Castle Community, Home and Hospital, chaired the Friends of the Library and led the Linley Beeches Support Group. Judith now supports the Carers’ Group, leads walks for ‘Walking For Health’ and  volunteers at Bishop’s Castle Heritage  Resource Centre.

Judith is always ready to listen to people’s  concerns on local topics, and if elected will  represent these views on the Shropshire Council. She will fight for the survival of the Dial-aRide service, the Community Hospital and the Library - all of whose futures have recently been thrown into doubt by Shropshire Council.

Here we are preparing for a very wet morning's leafleting.
